Is a 40G download allowance a lot?

I use a mobile connection. It's not quick enough to download anything or watch movies so I never bother.

Typically I only use a couple of MBs, (Thats not megabites not gigabytes.)

I downloaded about 30GB from steam on Tuesday, due to the new steam Gui screwing everything up, so I had to reDL everything. Just my 5 top games was 30GB ain't round to downloading the rest - but it's a good job I'm not on a limited system.

What a people using to monitor their broadband usage?

We have four devices connected to the internet in our house - is there any easy way of monitoring our total usage?

MY ISP gives me a detailed breakdown day-by-day. I can look up exactly what I used every day for the past year or so.

I'm often surprised by how little bandwidth I actually use, given how much time I spend online. It was only about 4.7 GB in April which is about half what I normally use. I'm not sure why it was that low, it felt like a typical month. Perhaps I spent less time watching YouTube videos? They seem to make up about 2/3 of my normal usage.
