Is Bridge a sport?

And as a game Bridge is more boring than cricket.

So therefore... I'm not sure what my point is.

I'm not sure about that. I learned to play bridge as a sixth former and thought the same as you before starting the class. Several months in I used to get adrenaline rushes during the times where victory was in the balance.

You've got to play it before you judge it.

I can see the appeal of cricket to some folk - 'chess on grass' is a term that I've heard used to describe the game. It does nothing for me.

Well I'm sorry, any game where the most calories expended are in getting to where the game takes place is 'a game'.
Pie Eating however has a unique place in the sporting world for being the only one where the winner is the one who gained the most weight.

Unfortunately the only ice we see down here in Devon comes in G&T's, flat water covered surfaces generally are for rowing on in a boat. I would offer to come up there but fear that I'll fall off the edge of the world.

By the way, I did rowing, both Fine Shells and Coastal Rowing too, so although I see where you are coming from, it is also rather cool to do my Jesus bit, and walk on water!
