Same here, went out for a quick 20 miles on Sat, headwinds were not much fun, tailwinds for a bit were great you feel like you can ride forever.

Riding in the rain can be quite a lot of fun. I wouldn't let the weather get in the way of getting out on the bike, more of an excuse to buy more variants for then wardrobe.

Agreed; IMHO riding in the rain v riding in the dry, is like chalk v cheese. The rain turns a pleasurable experience into a totally miserable one, and as an added bonus it makes a nice mess of your bike.
Fans of battling the elements are of course, entitled to their opinion. But they are wrong .

30kg luggage, in as many bags as you choose, so bringing a bike isn't a problem. Weather seems to have settled down, and most of the bush fires are out.
