Well on you tube i have 120 favourite songs .It it ok and more importantly legal to put them onto my ipod .

I must admit that I assumed this sort of thing was legal. I know 'somebody' who has converted to mp3 using another freely available resource and created a CD from the product.

You aren't putting them on your ipod. Your favourites are links to the youtube server, aren't they?
