yeah, the guy lives close to me so I'd only close the deal after I seeing and trying it

The ad makes little sense...there is no information that a genuine seller of a £1000+ carbon bike would be happy to include for a genuine sale

I guess I can stretch the budged a bit... Would have to spend it on fixing a 2nd hand bike anyway so might as well get it all right for once.

You don't necessarily have to fix a second hand bike. There are plenty of lightly ridden bikes out there which had an RRP of £500+ that sell for around £300 if you are lucky. Just be extremely careful buying used, ask to see receipts / proof of ownership, if the seller is evasive, walk away
