I have been swimming in a lake this afternoon, without a wetsuit or drysuit, it was invigorating, by that I mean cold. If it had not been for the ribbon I would have had trouble going to the loo afterwards.

Sunbathing is really, really boring!
Why would anyone want to stay still doing nothing for that length of time without actually being asleep!

I agree. I do the moving version, on foot, or on my bike!

When I went to Corfu with my then g/f and her daughter, they wanted to spend some days sunbathing on the beach. At those times I went swimming or hired a bike and explored the north of the island.

My g/f wasn't strictly doing nothing while she sunbathed - she was reading books, but every time I got back from a bike ride or swim, she appeared to have dozed off ...

I can confirm that sitting on the quayside at Castletown on a sunny October Sunday you can indeed top that tan up. My baldy head will prove this.
