I offered the seller an extra amount for the guards and rack and hey presto I own an Intercity 8 and a disc 8 , will see if rack and guards fit and then sell the black one

If they don't fit, have a word with @TheDoctor as I'm not sure if he's using the rack and boxed SKS 20" mudguards that went with the ID9 I sold him.

It's just like the one my brother has back there, same colour and spec. He lets me use it when I visit the UK, rides very nice.
Fold is a bit bulky, but managed a few bus journeys with it

I am in Northamptonshire and happy to help with shipment once they are boxed so let me know.

I think I can make the other set fit .

First 12 miles completed and I like the way it rides slightly longer between seat post and centre line of bars than my halfway.

Much better braking and gear changes than the halfway but then the halfway is 20 years old and done loads of miles.

Nice bike. I have one and in a wild and crazy moment I put Modolo bars on it with Grabon padding. It works, probably not advised but, I like it.

Modolo Dumbo bars by any chance? Bought a set of those butterfly bars around 2010, to give me more hand positions, after my lower back went ping.

Black intercity 8 ridden this morning and I noticed quite a few subtle differences is stem has more adjustment for height and also has a set of mounting holes on it .

Plus it has the Carrera decal which looks tidier than on the disc

Nice. I’ve never seen a side by side comparison. If you have the time and inclination I’d be really interested in comparative details of the fold. Particularly might the stem/steerer from the Intercity fit the Disc models, and would it facilitate folding the bars inside the folded bike rather than outside? And would this even be feasible with the wider forks, disc and callipers?

The fold lock is different will get some pictures up later , I can't see why the stem/steerer might swap BUT the extendable top section certainly doesn't look like it would again will do pictures.

Yes, I guess that's what they're called looking at the shape of them. Got them from SJS I think. The original bars were ok but gave me a neck/back/somewhere ache after a while. I'm not looking to break any speed records so I thought I might as well sit up and enjoy the view. I also tried bullhorns which I thought were pretty good but I couldn't get the brake levers round the bend.
