is a difficult issue. One of mine did suffer in the last few weeks of his life. Not so much incontinence but no bladder control, continual leaking.

Worst thing was he always slept in my bed at night and he couldn't do that as bed just pong. Same jn rest of house so he then lived in the kitchen (tiled floor) and he couldn't understand. Freedom of house, sleeping on bed then suddenly exiled to kitchen.

Tried dog nappies but they didn’t work (he just took them off somehow.

Yes, I've tried those 'dog diapers' but like your's he just ripped them off!😏

I'd just go to B&M or Pets at Home and buy some puppy pads tbh. And then you can just bung them in the bin when they're soiled. Far less faff than anything else.

You can also get washable ones as well (a 2-pack for a tenner in B&M)

Useful for cats too. I found both types indispensable when I had Madam Lexi on palliative care after her mammary cancer spread to her bladder. The disposable ones are great for popping into a carrier on longer journeys as well.

A plastic dog bed will be waterproof if you seal the vent holes with some silicone sealer, and vetbed makes a comfortable liner for it that's easily washable. I don't think you want the dog laying directly on a wet waterproof surface, or it'll end up with nappy rash.

Another option might be a carpet washer.

Why not get a couple of cheap-ish cotton towels.

If he suffers an incident in the night, rinse it out with the shower properly, then when you have a couple take them to wash them. No problem washing rinsed towels in a launderette.
