The reason is, I want to see if a car I gave to M in Law was a Clio or a Saxo. All I remember is the colour..

Would you know which was which by sight?
If so, Google images of each (specifying the model year) and choose which one looks like the car you gave her.

There might be if you've made it or they have all been bought out of one place but as folk point out above there's no national system.
