Is there a safe and easy way to get my bicycle tires shiny?

Do you have to take them off the wheel first?

It would, obviously, depend if either the hole in the front of your washing machine is big enough, or your wheels are small enough....

You dont want em shiny, you want em scrubbed in with no chicken strips. Preferably to the rim.
Forget about knee down, face down is what you should be trying to achieve.

A wet brillo pad used to make tan walls look shop bought again.

A smear of grease on the discs prevents them going rusty.

Swap for some tyres with lots of big holes in. Dust and grime from the road adheres much less easily to holes than it does to rubber.

Shoe polish. But keep it off the brakes because it contains wax.
