But if the wheels are on the Ribble bike(around here) they'll think oh it's ok it's a local bike not one of those flash foreign gits!

CRC have the same bike at £799 or the GTC Pro with 105 *10 speed* at 958.49, both in 58cm.So from this site http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/offers.php?cat=7 could you recommend a bike with a Compact chainset that'll be as good as a triple, and between 500 and 1000 quid in the reduced section if possible?
