Tear right through to underside, not a surface crack (which will usually heal with Proofide and use). Ebay photos didn't show it clearly and it's not mentioned in the description.

Get it on 'The Repair Shop' and get the lady who repairs leather goods to do it, it'll be like new afterwards! I'm aways amazed at what they can do on that programme :okay:

I've never seen one split that way. They usually tear across the width, at the nose. Or the rivets rip out.
