A cowboy walked into a German car dealership and said: "'Owdy!"

VAG was the UK importer, an independent firm owned by Lohnro, and hasn't existed since the mid 90s. The manufacturer trades internationally as VW Group and its individual brands.

Yes ... We suspected the car we bought at Christmas would be on the list As its one of the Blue Motion ones.... We decided they were bound to have tampered with them to help get good results! Last night Mr Summerdays looked it up and sure enough we got the I'm sorry message!

I've just put the VIN from my VW diesel golf into the website and it tells me mine is not affected. I have to say I don't believe it because it is a 2013 model and is one of the models that supposedly have been fitted with the cheating software.

VW haven't been truthful from the start and I don't think they are now.

I personally think they'd be foolish to revert some cars and not others. If it came to light in the future that your car was affected, it would cost them even more than it will now. Then again, you could be right.

Uh oh, not good. Any idea how much performance or economy you'll lose?
