It took me 50 miuntes but...

...I've completed my first commute in over six weeks after recovering from an asthma attack. Have pootled about a bit since but nothing over a couple of miles or too strenuous.

Good to be back on the bike proper - legs feeling a little stiff and a bit more freewheeling and taking it easy than normal but it felt good, really good.

I had started to resent having to put petrol in the car and it was great to be out in the fresh air.

A couple of easy weeks and then full steam ahead.

:bravo:Personally, I'd be tearing my hair out if I was off the bike for six weeks!

Take it easy and enjoy!

I wasn't far off, well what bit I've got left. Wasn't a particularly bad attack but just seemed to knock me for six and took ages to get over it.

Used the time of the bike to tinker with the set up on my bike and I've nearly finished converting an old MTB frame to single speed - all good fun but not much riding:sad:

Thanks for all the support.

I've had asthma since the age of 5 or 6, and been although on the whole not usually that bad and quite easy to control with a couple of inhalers. Since starting cycling about 10 months ago its really helped and I don't have to use my Terbutaline inhaler half as much as I used to. I do seem to have a fairly bad attack every seven years or so and if track record is anything to go by this was was a year or so overdue.

Good to be back on the bike anyway.
