Autumn is OK in the south (of Brimingham), and last year there was still a road race series going on until the first weekend of November. So enjoy, one of the best seasons for good riding weather, alomg with spring and summer. Winter's all right for a bit, but as age creeps along I quite like a bit of Spanish sunshine down round the Coata de la Luz (the bit from Gib to Portugal). lovely Atlantic breeze, nice people, and it's er, cheap. Even more so with their economy in the mire.

Some of the loveliest cycling weather can be in the Autumn and Winter- frosty mornings and crystal clear nights. As long as you're well dressed for it and have decent waterproofs, it will basically probably be like the "summer" we've just endured, but a bit colder. :cold:

And if you look after your bike, keep it clean and well lubricated, it shouldn't be a problem; then pop it into the LBS next Spring for a decent fettling.
