Most of its islands are only kerb-height, so it depends if they can bunny hop and just take the direct desire line

Well, I left here in clear, dry conditions. 400 metres later, I got battered by hail. After another couple of hundred metres, that turned to freezing rain. By the time I got to the top of the hill, the precipitation had stopped!

While I was in the other house, the sun came out but I was stuck there for an hour or so. It is actually quite nice outside now - chilly, but sunny. It is getting too late for a ride now though. I am hungry and I don't fancy being out after dark.

I officially give up on today and will try to get a ride in during the week to keep my legs ticking over before Sunday's Tour de Yorkshire sportive from Scarborough, during which we will probably experience all of this snow, sleet, hail and freezing rain again!

I went for a ride before work and got hailed on for 15 minutes and the temp dropped to around 2.5c. The sun is now shining!

Strange isn't it? My ride was called off for a variety of reasons, but it would certainly have been a chilly one.I suspect that the fact that we haven't had any snow (though we have had hail)is largely due to our proximity to the Solway,Carlisle's never been a snowy place.Hope you get out soon!
