I've just finished Thunder & Sunshine and thoroughly enjoyed reading about his experiences ... Fantastic Achievement

I feel sooooooo inadequate planning my Devon coast to coast now lol

How does his style compare with Josie Dew and Anne Mustoe, or Tim Moore and Edward Enfield all of which I've really enjoyed reading?

I may have to read AH then.

The next travel/adventure book I would really like to read is the Seven Pillars of Wisdom by TE Lawrence.

Nick Danziger is good as a travel writer, journalist and photographer.
Colin Thubron as well.

Yep there are one or two excellent journals on CGOAB, the best I have to say are from British tourers. I can only take so much of the American view of life.
