I used to get more than my fair share on my roadie, till I learned to pump my tyres up properly... haven't had one now since Feb last year (and yes, I have ridden it regularly )
Haven't had one on the mtb for about 3 years now
exactly, bloody superstitious lot these cyclists, loads of them are pretty mechanically adept yet a puncture, another straight forward mechanical process, has them acting like something out of a bad Hammer horror film
I used to get lots of punctures off-road, sometimes two or more per ride, then I changed to slime tubes and bumped up the pressures from 40'ish to 65psi. In three years since I've had one puncture due to a largish nail.
It's just too tight against the wheel. Whenever I try and push the tyre over the rim, I end up with a final section that seems almost impossible to push over the rim.
