From the photo, I think the point of them is in addition to the rear light.

While looking at that light on the seat I came up with the thought that if there was a pressure switch on top of the light with a delayed switch off time. You could make the light come on every time the rider sat on the seat. If they got off the seat to pedal, the delay switch would keep the light on.

You wouldnt need a dynamo and you would never forget to turn your light on.

Will this make me milions, or am I destined always to be poor?

I like the idea of the indicators but theywwon't fit my MTB.

Those Tacx lights look good but the quality is pretty poor, plus the indicator bit is pure gimmick as no-one is watching for them on a bike.

Theses lights have been mentioned on other threads and a fair few people have sent them back because of faults, as indeed did I.

I think fizik do a saddle/light system like that.

I put an old led in the crank as well, set it to flash, it's another attempted anti SMIDSY device.
