Congrats. If you don't want to get sweaty, just set off a bit earlier and take it really steady. I tend to go easy on the way to work, and avoid breaking sweat. Then I go hell for leather on the way back for a really good workout.

Just a quick UPDATE... cycled in again this morning and it felt harder as I was cycling into the wind ALOT. However my commute was 5 minutes faster and I fel less sweaty and tired when i got here.. :smile::smile:
 
Well done.

Enjoy this period whilst you're breaking yourself in. Things like time and body image will change a lot over the next couple of months, then it all settles down and the days of 5 minute improvements becomes a fond memory!

I started a few years ago one autumn - at the end of the winter I felt like a veteran... and so will you.
