C2C Via Nirone with FSA cranks etc..all pretty standard. Its time for some maintenance before spring gets here (this bike doesnt see daylight after October...oh no).
All of a sudden, its starting to look messy
Replaced the chainrings with some Stronglights. Trouble is, the originals were black and silver, the Stronglights are silver. Against the black cranks...i'm not sure how it looks.
Now i'm thinking' should i get a silver rear derailleur to balance it up...hmmm now if i get that, my wheels are black and it's still going to look wrong.
Then the Xenon shifters are going to be out of place....

On the plus side...new chainrings, chain and cassette fitted.
Bartape may be next, but because i commute and i'm an engineer, my bartape gets filthy...do i put new tape on just to ruin it ?

Ive got grey Hutchinson tyres on it...should i put black tyres on ?

Actually, i've got exactly that can of paint...its good stuff.
I'd already misted over the cranks, they were scuffed a bit. Maybe i'll give the chainrings a coat while they're new..hmmm...maybe not, i'll start making things worse
Ah well, i guess i'll soon get used to the silver chainrings.
