Jaguar - This is just wrong!

I am not sure how far between concept and production this is but there is a new Jaguar on the way-

I can put up with these ugly great cars when they are made by Range Rover or even Audi or Porsche but Jaguar; it just somehow seems wrong.

Can't say I like the look of it either. I wouldn't look at that and immediately think Jaguar (like you do with most of their cars).

Cover the nose and I would be sure if was an Audi. That's is probably as much due to it being white as anything else though. Surely a real off roader would never be white...

Aren't there going to be Bentley versions coming soon?

It's a huge market, Porsche have jumped on board, why not Jaguar?

Now try to imagine that Sky-ed up in black and blue. Because that's what'll happen.
Maybe the SKY Cycling Team said they wanted a bigger vehicle for their support car !

It's VERY UGLY, though xx( and totally not Jaguar, whose motto used to be 'Grace, Pace and Space' or something similar.

It's like the Range Rover Evoque, the one supposedly designed by Posh Spice, it looks awful and blinky and footballers wives and tasteless and Essex and clunky and plastic. I don't like it.

Let's not kid ourselves, Jaguar is just another foreign car maker in reality, catering for a global market.

My favourite jag is this :

Although I rather like this as well:

Once I dealt with the shipping of one to the USA (tragic, I know) and although the car was donkey's years old and neglected the doors still opened and shut with the precision of a safe. And check out those headlamps..

Absolutely. Which is why they neglect their differentiation at their peril. Looks like a false move to me, from a purely commercial perspective - a decision made by tone deaf 27 yr old hotshots at Ford in Detroit, with no appreciation of what makes (made) Jaguar Jaguar.
