Just back from A&E

Instead of getting annoyed about it etc (nothing I could do about it) I looked at that day as the first day of my recovery. Each day leading up to and after the surgery was a day closer to getting back to the mat.

Yeah, when my Mum broke her wrist, she took on everyday tasks as a challenge to see how they could be done one handed. Just stuff like opening jars and tins, that sort of thing. I really admired her attitude.

I still feel guilty about suggesting that bike ride though...

I'm really sorry to hear that. Such a small chance incident having such a knock on effect is a really hard one to swallow. Best of luck with the case as this will no doubt have to be taken into account.
