There's getting on for a quarter of a tonne of bricks on that bike: it must be the easiest way for one man to carry that amount of bricks.

I wouldn't have said that was easy balancing that lot on the chain wheel!
A trailer or cargo trike would have been easier.

It's not just in Third World countries that bikes are used to carry unusual loads - this photo was taken in Birmingham.

I thought Birmingham was a third world country.......
