Great find. my need to know is now sated and that's a far better picture which I shall take a copy of.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't be able to rest until I owned that bike. You have work to my freind.

No my nostalgia doesn't work that way. I've seen blokes on choppers and they look ridiculous. If I wanted to re-capture the feeling, I'd go for a modern beach cruiser. Besides, 300 quid and beside that one, I've never seen one.I don't know about you but I wouldn't be able to rest until I owned that bike. You have work to my freind.

No, nostalgia is complex but for me objects carry nostalgia because they've been on the journey with you, buying another one of the same doesn't have the same feeling. Like now, I'm looking at a plastic craft knife, long blunt but I still have it. I still have it because it went to art college with me, travelled in my Pakit seat pack to cut rubber sheet for puncture repairs and went to Uni with me.. Picking it up can invoke many memories, I wouldn't get that same feeling if I bought another one the same. So no, I won't go looking for another Panther but I'm happy to have filled in a gap in my memory. You sound a bit beside yourself on this![]()
It's like a cheap knock-off scouse version of a Chopper. Get it from Netto?
From retrowow.com:I think it cost more than the Chopper, was lighter and handled better. I owned two choppers later too because I missed the Panther when it went but they weren't the same.

I vaguely recall this, give us the link then. Don't tell me it was a chopper, because I'm going to feel a right heel if it was. You're very wise, I recently recaptured the feeling of the bike of my youth, written about elsewhere in this forum, it became and obsession for a while, cost a fortune, and the finished product is sitting in my shed unused.
