It works fine, although I had to force an update. It makes little difference imho as the really big feature, page numbers is not active on very many books at all despite amazon's claims.

It's been wheeled out to everyone now but no major changes. Still love my kindle though the screensavers are getting my goat a bit! I have no idea why they picked the ones they did.

sorry no probs so far, all good. Not sure about page numbers which was an addition with this update as my current book does not have them ??

Thanks for the info, I agree the screen savers are not very inspiring but as they are only visible for a very short period during the opening of a book then it doesn't really bother me. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have just downloaded the kindle app for my phone, very impressed so far, though I've only sent a couple of samples to it for now, will certainly buy some full books for it soon.

No issues here.

The only time I've seen the page number displayed on our current books is when you press menu whilst 'in' a book.

From reading the details on the Kindle site, I think that's how it's supposed to work now.

Yes, very few books have page numbers though. A tiny number. It may take months/years for it to change.

Mine hasn't updated - I've left it on wifi for a week, and occassionally tell it to 'download new items' but nothing so far. I'll do it manually, I suppose, but it sounds complicated!

Strange. It might have updated when you weren't looking! It just starts and updates without prompting and without telling you that the update has completed.
