I have heard good things about the nexus. And it has a great screen. Seems to be the one to go for, or the nexus 10 with a 10" screen.

I have had the Nexus 7 since last year when it came out and it is great, has a fabulous screen and is very fast. But like all tablets is no good if you are planning to read your kindle books outside in the sun.

I like books but love my Kindle. It's only sentimentality that keeps my buying physical books here and there, or a good offer...
I'll still get odd reference books in paper format, but for reading fiction, Kindle (other ebook readers are available) is the way to go IMHO.

Can get some stuff online with offers that aren't really possible with physical products. I'm also terrible at reading part of a book, putting it down for a few months, then picking it up again. Often having forgotten to bookmark the page, so having a kindle that remembers it is a lot more convenient!

Definitely prefer the proper reading kindles to the tablet like Kindle Fire's. My mum and girlfriends mum both have Kindle fires but have given up on them for reading because of problems in the sun.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

That is true. I have a sony e-reader as well. Wouldn't be without it. It's brilliant for reading outside. It's the 2nd one I have had.

No plans to use it outside, so that is okay. Just found out that we have some Peli cases in the warehouse that it will fit into, so another reason to get a Nexus 7, and everywhere seems to have them reduced at the minute (in anticipation of the Nexus 8 no doubt)

You wont be disappointed they are great tablets and if you get the 32gb there is lots of storage space and as I said they are fast there is no lag.

Miss A_T has one I think.... will send her a text to check which one- she loves hers and spent a while with her IT friends checking them all out.

I have surprised myself be becoming quite a fan if e-books, although I find I prefer the Kindle app on my iPod to my Kindle itself
I have both too, the Kindle gives a more paper book like experience. The app is equally good. The only trouble is the battery drain on the iPad.
