Evening, the wife has made an effort recently to get into cycling especially as my 5 yr old absolutely loves it and I'm suffering a bit at the moment.
Decided to speak with my LBS and we did a deal on this kinesis AT tripster.
Without going into massive detail we upgraded the wheels, brakes, fitted cross bar brakes and few other bits. The pedals are a temporary thing until we've decided on which pedals/shoes to get.
In a stroke of luck it'll fit me as well!
Hopefully get out on this weekend.

* she knows I call her the wench so please don't be offended on her behalf!!

There's an element of drop bar mountain bike about the build.

Looks good to me.

Looks great.Theres quite a few multi purpose type bikes coming on the market now. much more practical than a skinny tyred racing bike on our third world roads or for doing a bit of offroad tracks etc. I quite like the simplicity of a single chain ring 1 x 11 set up.

And that's pretty sums it up. A lot of the riding we do as a family is trail/canal/road and I think this should cover it all easily. Of course it's a few quid to do just that but I got a great deal and she is happy with it so that makes it worth the outlay.

Cheers.

That's a very nice looking and practical do it all machine. I hope she gets a lot of pleasure from it.

I was in Ewood Bikes on Monday when you were there looking at it while Ian attempted to chat with us both. Lovely looking bike and I left feeling quite envious. After you left Ian spent some time explaining the x1 chain ring which I'm still trying to get my head around. I'd be very interested to learn how your wife gets on with it. Ian's lending me a x1 Cannondale to try.

Good luck and good riding to you both

Thanks Paul, the gearing is a first for us as well, Ian does ok from us, I've had five from him, the wife one and my 5yr old is on his second!
