These American sourced ones are much smaller than the previous ones we were getting from a source that I don't recall.

I have never been a fan of them. They taste of nothing and have too many seeds.

They are nice when properly ripe. the kiwi gold ones even have no hair so you can eat the skin without feeling like you're munching on a homeless man's beard
I like 'em, but they take up to a fortnight to ripen. My cousin (a professional chef) taught me to eat them like a hard boiled egg: cut the top off, and scoop out the inside with a teaspoon, but they're seldom ripe enough to do that.
