I saw Kraftwerk at the Green Man festival in August this year (I was there as a Morris Dancer, but we weren't performing in the evening).

After about half an hour, I wandered off to find an act with more variety. I don't dislike their music, but it all sounds so similar, I just get bored of it after a while.

But not so futuristic now perhaps? Don’t think it would be my first choice of driving music.
I do like Robots and Model though

I remember listening to Autobahn in the 1970's and being astonished by the futuristic sound.

I first heard it as the intro music for a kids tv series called Out Of Bounds.

Going back to the OP, do many people under 50 really own music anymore? I sold all my CDs 10-15 years ago as I switched to MP3s now I only ever stream my music.

You can now buy vinyl in Sainsburys (ours isn't even a big one); so it's not hard to see how physical media are making a comeback!
