Agree with your point.
I did hear an interview with Tom Southam where he said that they managed to get the riders to their hotels by 9:30 on Tuesday evening which he said was earlier than some of the regular daily transfers (for the Vuelta). Despite driving, he got across from Drome about an hour later.

Seriously where on earth does he get that from. It's only just over month since we watched JV follow a wheel for 3 weeks in france.

He gets it from knowing a little more about pro cycling than somebody who would make such a comment.

JV was better than anybody else except the one whose wheel he was "following", whoc was in a different class to the rest, but is not in this race. He is very much the favourite to win this race, in spite of not being close to beating TP in the TDF.

Peloton don't seem to fussed about bringing the break back? Even if Visma are planning to absolutely smash it up that last climb 6min30 is still a lot to bring back isnt it, especially with some reasonable climbers in that front group?
