did you actually watch this years Tour de France? Whilst he wasnt a match for Pog he did at least try to animate the race at various occasions. If anything him and Visma were more attacking than UAE, But Pogs attacks stuck because he was stronger.

I thought I watched it - but haven't read the above I'm.not so sure.

Team visma were highly criticized by the pundits by maintaining a high pace in the early stages which only seemed to succeed in burning out there own riders

The same pundits didn't actually suggest any way in which Visma could actually beat the best rider in the peloton, they just criticised whatever they did try. It's largely the same people that complain that riders race for second place when Pog is riding that criticised Visma for doing all they could to force some sort of crack in the third week.
