No, longer would suit him as he's able to maintain optimum bike position for longer. Shorter normally favours those with power but maybe less technique.

Ganna was very fast in the final section though.
I'm not going to claim otherwise but the Covid one held in the autumn was the best version that I remember off the top of my head.I agree that the Vuelta is the least interesting of the GTs by quite a long way, you'd have to be a seriously dedicated contrarian to claim anything otherwise.
