Lands end to Fowey ?

Planning my LEJOG,found a route in a book which i bought on Amazon,and the first stage is Land's End to Fowey and staying at a YHA in Golant .

Has anybody done this route?

I was born in fowey ! Just saying lol

I went Penzance to Fowey on an audax once. The lanes were quite pleasant and I don't remember insane amounts of ascent. Fowey is loverly.

If I ever get Mrs V to do a lejog with me we'd go on the North coast of Cornwall though. The St Ives to Lands End road is great

We pretty much followed the CTC route to Golant YHA. You can start from Penzance YHA if you go to LE and back the night before. Very nice, quiet lanes, and not massively hilly.
