Fantastic, did you ask them to hold on while you went and got popcorn, I would have wanted a front seat for that one!

haha. I did actually try to make an excuse for checking my bike over before leaving as this was when it was getting really good.

One of the lady policeofficers behind the couter said I bet I didn't want to leave now .

I don't blame myself for what happened. It's a risk involved with cycling and it has by no means put me off cycling, that road, or anything else. I've had worst .

Tonight I'm having my first proper meal since Sunday (I didn't enjoy that or finish it). I'm blooming starving tonight and enjoyed the bits I tastey as I cooked! Macaroni and cheese.

Yeah bad driving by a jealous driver.
What was his point he had to stop at the lights anyway. I am in the overtaking situation a lot with all the traffic lights here.
When I am overtaking and the lights go green I will look for a gap from the cars pulling away look over shoulder, arm out to indicate your pulling over to the left then thumb up to "thank" the driver for not ploughing into the back of you all in one swift movement which takes about 1 second.

It's the silly season but this week I have had 2 bike incidents and 2 car incidents (although I have only done 1 car commute) so it ain't just bikes !

Yeah. I use the thank you signal quite a bit. I think yesterday I was more worried about just getting in and keeping up. The guy was barely moving when I went past him.

Its quite funny how the passenger always looks so embarrassed. On the rare occasions I have had to have words with a driver the passenger just stared straight ahead.
Maybe they should swop seats;)

I don't think so. I don't think he even looked when I thumped his window. I think he was most likely the guys son. He didn't look that old.

I wonder what the driver was jealous about?

How I look in lycra ?

I think he didn't like that his car could be overtaken by a cyclist.

Don't worry,if it cheers you up i got overtaken in my car around the Trafford Centre in total gridlock by some prick in a Mitsa FTO thingy who thought 30mph was not the legal speed limit and that the white line was his lane no matter what. What amazed me even more was the fact he used that action all the way to the next set of lights and just pulled in front of the line of cars patiently waiting for them to change.....grrrrr where is a cop car when you need one !!!!
I HATE DRIVING WITH A PASSION ! pity i had to drop the better half off at work because there would be no parking spaces because bloody JLS ( the X-factor loosers) were turning on the fairy lights at the Trafford Centre.....i guess they are good at something !

Yet another thread by a numpty cyclist blaming others for his own incompetence. Would it have been too much of a hardship to ease off and let the car in? Oh, silly me, of course it would - then you would have nothing to write about!
