Apologies for my first post being a shameless plug but we've just launched a price comparison site for TVs at www.tvmooch.co.uk and if you give me the model number of any TV I'll happily add a comparison for you.

Plug over - I'm honestly here for the bikes.... :hungry:

:hungry: Probably best of posting in beginners or the cafe.

Certainly add the G10s in larger sizes.

Hi roadkill, since you asked:
Panasonic TX-L37G10B

Thanks

TV's in the shop will always look different in your living room. Some advice I was given was to get a bit of cardboard the same size as the TV you are looking at to get a better idea of how it will look when you get it home.

I reckon if Noodley has already convinced Mrs Noodley, there's no point potentially causing trouble along those lines until after the tv's been installed . o O What, I didn't realise it was quite that big? Well you did agree to it and its here now, I guess we'll just have to live with it...

I was thinking more along the lines of trying to justify a bigger screen. 'Look, it hardly takes up any space, and as its thinner it will be further away than the crt on the stand so we need a bigger screen.'
Could be just me though.

I have just measured our current TV, not just the screen but the surround as well. It comes in at 35.5 inches. Mmmmmm, I did see some lovely 40 inch LCDs today...

I was also wondering if the prices on these will come down a lot in the January sales or are the online deals probably the best price I'll get

We bought a Tevion 32" from Aldi earlier in the year - normal size living room, not a mansion :-)

Cost £300 which includes a three year warranty, I'd always suggest looking at the "all in" prices of TV plus warranty, as while many 32" LCD TV's come in around the £300 mark, many then need £50-90 warranties for peace of mind.

I've had Tevion/Medion stuff previously, and while I've not had to use the warranty, my father had a flatscreen monitor which needed replacement - done & dusted via the local Aldi store without argument.

There are only 2 Richer Sounds stores in Scotland, one in Glasgow and another in Edinburgh. I live miles from both. But I am going to Edinburgh soon  and I'll pay them a visit
