Leg warmers - silly question # 43

Greetings,
I wish to buy some leg warmers and it is not totally clear from some sites whether these are sold as pairs or individually. To some this may seem a ridiculous question, but,
a) you're probably right.

b) I was once prescribed two pairs of support socks and had to pay four lots of prescription charges!

So, are they sold as individual items or as pairs?

All flippant replies will be ignored unless they are very amusing!

I was in a shoe shop some years ago, and there where a collection of shoe boxes all containing the same style shoe, only difference was the sizes.
It said on each box-average contents: 2

Putting leg warmers on brings out my feminine side. It's like pulling a pair of stockings on (Not that I ever have, you understand). I do look rather cute in the mirror wearing just the leg warmers and nothing else.
