Leipzig - Cycle heavan

Just back from a trip to Leipzig for a festivale. Did some cycling around, and oh my gawd it's the greatest place on earth for cycling. Car drivers in the UK need to learn to drive like the east Germans.

I've just got back from The Netherlands and it was pretty good.

There were more bikes on the roads than cars - honest. They really have great infrastructure for cycling

The only thing I will say is that at 4am folks cycling back from the pub should stick their lights on! The hotel bikes we used where tough machines, like a hybrid but more MTB bike. At the hotel too was the starting point for some cycle race, with the teams staying at the hotel. It's a strange felling cars stopping to let you out, people sitiing behind you on narrow roads and not being left (or right in their case) hooked.
