Lending your bike to a friend

The mind boggles as to why your brother would lend you some underwear...

Overnight stay at his house... kebabs, red wine, Primrose Hill, Stacey O'Flynn... nuff said.

I have let @Plax ride my Carbon Uberbike, but only because I was on her Galaxy...

And uber it was. Light as a feather and yet I *still* had to wait half an hour for you to catch up with me on the pass.

Yes... In my defence, I had ridden 18 miles before I met up with Plax, and the previous day I had done Sychnant Pass twice.. And a bottle of red. And a glass or three of port,
I can't climb as well as @Plax , and I freely admit it.

I've introduced several colleagues to cycling through lending out a hybrid and a mountain bike for several weeks at a time so that they can get a good feel for what joys can be had from cycling. All of them went on to purchase bikes of their own. I gave my hybrid to a chap that worked at my local garage to keep.

@Mice, @Skipper9999, and @charlie b have all had a go on my Woodrup Chimera and the first two have gone on to purchase a Chimera of their own.

And mine is getting closer. Good grief it is going to be an absolutely fantastic bicycle!
