I'm giving up heating - the boiler has just packed in, and it looks terminal.

Oh well, it wasn't new when we moved in ~28 years ago, so it doesn't owe us anything, but bang goes the Madeira holiday and the Dave Yates I've been promising myself for a couple of years.

I shall be attempting to give up chocolate, sweets and crisps for Lent.

I am also planning a positive resolution, to read a book Stephen's found about how to tackle procrastination - assuming I don't put that off...

Yes, No Place is a place. Always wonder why it was named that - maybe the locals had a low opinion of their village. Pity Me near Durham puzzles me too.
