Cracking a solo.
I know it's not very exciting, but it was such a beautiful evening I thought I'd stop on my commute and take a couple of pics of NCN4, watch those leaves mind!

Edit: Changed the size of some ludicrously big pictures

Haven't seen any so far, a mile or so the one way (towards the bike) there's plenty of sheep and cows, all safely secured mind, whereas in the other direction a couple of miles further on I've seen rabbits, foxes and squirrels charging around, there's usually a dog or two off the lead to make your way around as well

The Pennine Cycleway (NCN 68) ...

The sign says "Unsuitable for motors" - ha - unsuitable for bicycles too! Whose bright idea was it to take a major national cycle route up and down this beast?

We live just along the path from each other, then, although it does look a little different by the time it gets to Windsor.

I had to look it up as I thought maybe I'd put the wrong number, but it appears we are indeed, I shall be sure to give you a wave if I decide to extend my commute a little, it doesn't look very far on the map :hello:

ColinJ, that looks terrifying

NCN27 from Ilfracombe to Plymouth

I only cycled it for a day, so this is from Ilfracombe to Tavistock.

The path starts in Ilfracombe harbour.

NCN27 goes next to an old quarry outside Tavistock that has lots of old rolling stock.

This is the NCN 1, Marriots Way, which goes west of Norwich through Reepham.

Eventually, Marriots way gets to Aylsham and the Bure Valley Railway Station. Called the Bure Valley Cycleway, the path runs alongside the narrow gauge line to Wroxham.

Here the Cycleway crosses the River Bure valley, we don't have nice picturesque hills 'round here, but the scenery makes up for it

A few people commute one these cycle paths, sure beats sitting in a car!
