We do pay tax, just to many times and then the money not always spent in the right places
Yep. That's the spirit. Fook em eh?

yes ...i just got shut of a 3.5 tonner..poor mpg and a 2005 build van so no modern eco stuff..as i dont really need it anymore,it was still perfect with only 50k on the clock..
the tax on the new ultra low emission tiny engine van is the same £230..
i used to do the hippy eco warrior 30 odd yrs ago...nothing changes ....
maybe we need to ban Planes Trains and automobiles...and all cycle and walk ..
oh and i really tried to go petrol or electric but there just no good yet..you dont have a choice im affraid
Running an inefficient ten year old vehicle is vastly less polluting than the energy and resources required to build a new 'clean' vehicle, so you were still an Eco Warrior at heart.
That's true only if you do a very low mileage.Running an inefficient ten year old vehicle is vastly less polluting than the energy and resources required to build a new 'clean' vehicle, so you were still an Eco Warrior at heart.
I am not whining, just expressing my personal opinion. Take it or leave it.If you don't care then why are you whining about it?
I always thought that to justify buying a diesel, you had to be doing higher than average mileage? That's true only if you do a very low mileage.
thats cos you were full to the brim, not because you were drunk on it.Puke came out my nose once drinking Wrexham Lager.

I pay the max tax on my car, it's not very economical but was not bought for that reason. It tows my caravan and can transport our family with ease. However it's not a daily driver. There is nothing else on the road that can really do all that I need , certainly not leccy wise.
I get that, but I still pay a premium or I did pay a premium to get the diesel engine. My car is just over a year old, has the price of a diesel slumped that much in that time?It was at a time when diesel cars cost quite a bit more to buy, however they have become cheaper and for long enough the economy was the selling point on small eco cars and later on even big 2ltr engines could do 50+ mpg . However everyone drives one and they are not as clean as first thought ! VW etc
That's a financial thing...I always thought that to justify buying a diesel, you had to be doing higher than average mileage?
