A decent afternoon yesterday on a local club water, it's getting colder so the fish are slowing down so rather than the standard method feeder approach I opted for bomb and pellet. I must admit I've not used this method in my recent reignition of fishing but as I'm ok with everything it isn't difficult.
Accurate casting and feeding with some RG baits Squid attractant soaked pellets did the job for several decent fish around 3lbs.
I need a new catapult though (I've just realised that my Reddicat is around 25 years old) as the elastic snapped last night.

I not a fan of carp as I was brought up fishing natural waters when carp weren't a thing My club has a bit of canal I fish in the winter and a natural lake which is lightly fished because it deep 7ft at the edge going to 12 to 18ft at 8mts so it's difficult fishing and there are no comfortable platforms just a rocky shore and a few pegs . The fish dont want to stay on the bottom so after a initial groudbait ball in ( which I do enjoy ) the fish feed on the bottom for about 90 mins no matter how much I feed then they come off the bottom . Anywhere from 1ft off to 3ft below the surface so your constantly changing depth trying to find them . But the lake is stuffed with roach and I've been having success feeding hemp and using tares on the hook to sort out the better stamp , maggots gets you a bite a chuck but from the smaller ones
