LIzzy Banks won in a two-up break. Little-known Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten came in 3rd (a minute later) and threw her arms in the air. She then pinched Lizzy's victory champagne on the podium, apparently still thinking she won the stage. I think this reflects more on the Giro's anarchic organisation than on AvV.

We may have a winner here. Zabel was a 4-time winner of MSR, and finished world No1 that season.
