Evening.

I hope I explain this ok....

I’ve been using a sportful long sleeve top for a few years but it needs replacing. ( they don’t do this model anymore. )
It’s a really thin top that I’d wear over a gilet and arm warmers whilst I warmed up as I tend to leave the house quite early, whilst it’s still a bit parky.

So, I’m looking for recommendations for something lightweight, some wind proofing but not necessarily offering any water resistant properties and something that doesn’t sound or feel like a pocket of crisps!

Budget is flexible around £100.

Cheers Stuart.

or something like the photo from Sportpursuit (small/medium only)

or wear a windproof gilet over your jersey?

Look at Paramo, they have has some on offer recently.
I have the Ostro. If you’re not fussed about colour £57 in the sale!
The new Fuera windproof smock would by my choice now....

I also use their Velez lite smock in the winter...bloody fabulous!

i have a superlight jacket from Decathlon about £20 and not boil in the bag. folds down to size of an orange and is ideal for the first few miles before your warm up. in fact i bought spare ones to keep in stock! Not cycling specific, it may be a Kalenji running one.

I think this is very similar https://www.decathlon.co.uk/rc-500-ultralight-windproof-cycling-jacket-yellow-id_8517063.html

Is a Pertex windshirt too crispy?
I managed to score a Paramo on Ebay in eye friendly blue with just the right combination of pockets and vents. The modern ones with pockets zips behind the vent zips are just weird.

Thanks for the replies, the paramo looks a good option and I tried the decathlon one yesterday in store, I just couldn’t get the fit I wanted.

I’ve seen this which gets decent reviews although I’m going against what I put in my opening post about not being fussed about it’s water proofing material.

i have much heavier duty rain jacket from Showers Pass and it is a superb bit of kit. And amazing customer service from the UK importer. I had a minor issue with a zip housing 11 mths in, and they sent me a new jacket and told me to keep the "old" one!

Thanks for the replies and suggestions, I ended up buying the one I linked from showers pass.
it arrived fairly quickly and the first impressions are good, it’s very thin and light and not like a crisp packet!

Cheers Stuart.
