Linkedin ..scam emails

I was on Linkedin, never paid, never had a scam email. I closed my account when people I'd never really liked began connecting to me, despite the fact I'd never filled anything in. For me there was always a disconnect between work and social, the two have never mixed in my head, that and I could never see the point of it, for me anyway.

LinkedIn invites you to upload your email contacts, then it messages any of the addresses that it recognises as current LinkedIn members and asks them if they would like to connect with you.

Anyone stupid enough to do that deserves all they get.

Likewise if your email is in a list that a new member uploads, you will get that message - there's not much you can do about that.

Linkedin is slightly different, (I don't do Facebook) I've known a few people get good jobs by having a good Linkedin profile
I'm one of them, although only ever had a free account. I must admit the constant contact requests get on my bits!
