I once went on a skiing trip with Eddie the Eagle...he was in the year above me in school.

I worked with an Israeli guy who had a sister called "Galia". Galia melons are named after her.

My latin teacher at school played for Queen of the South.

I took a life drawing class with Michelle Pfeiffer. I didn't realise who she was until a friend of mine joined me at the class. Her jaw nearly hit the floor when I introduced Michelle and offered to make a round of tea.

I used to work with a teacher who was the sister in law of Rowan Atkinson. Her husband looked like Mr Bean.

I worked with a guy who's aunty was on that Scottish island with Ben Fogle in the very early reality TV show Castaway.

I also worked with a chap who made the local news for carrying out a string of corner shop robberies in Nottingham, armed with an axe. He is now serving life in Rampton IIRC.
