Photo's for those that requested them - hardly took any as I didn't take camera, so only had a few on the phone.

I love Ravenscar it's one of my favourite places.- a village with an amazing history that is well worth reading up on.

Originally named Peak, developers wanted to create a new resort to rival Scarborough. The plots of land were laid out ready for investors to come and build. However not many investors came forward and the project went bust which is why Ravenscar has a very expansive layout for a village! You can still see the plots laid out in the grid.

'The Town That Never Was'

Also the cliff behind the hotel is home to seals and you can walk right down and see them. Well worth doing if you have time.

There is also a good pub called 'Hayburn Wyke' about 3 miles south of Ravenscar on the railway track which I'm sure you will have ridden past - ideal stop off for some liquid refreshment and a decent carvery too!!
