We used to have it once a week when I was a kid but only have it very occasionally in pubs now. Not sure why we never have it at home.

Maybe it's like people of my generation saying how much they loved bread and dripping but they never eat it now though.

Gorgeous. I wish I could make my better half like liver and onions (ideally stewed slowly in rich gravy with some bacon). The only way I can ger her to eat liver is in pate or terrine.

Love it, but the wife, a former veggie, never buys it no matter how many times I ask. Kidneys too are delish'.
