What rack and what mud guards are those ? Just got a Polygon Urbano, and it needs everything.

These guards unsure about the rack @Jenkins will hopefully have the info

I have a set from a non disc Intercity 8 that could be made to fit but these fit well

We need pics! We've known about the Urbano being the close sibling of the ID8 and ID9 for a while but youre the first CC'er to nab one.

It looks the spitting image of my Tern Verge

Aye, the Urbano 5 is identical to the ID9 in every detail beyond the paint/pedals.

I would guess the Urbano 3 is the ID8 equivalent, but id want a bit more information to be sure. I think the Urbano 3 spec has been cheapened over the last year or so, Im pretty sure it used to be 8 speed.

I think the rack was just a random cheapie I picked up from Amazon, but it fitted the original InterCity Disc 9 quite nicely.

Bought an Urbano 3. I didn't want to risk adding 451 size tyres to the fleet. Color is nice, but I haven't had the chance to pump up the tyres and go out with it yet. No lights still, and since most of my cycling is in the dark, haven't had the full sunny day to take 'er out.

36 miles this morning and the Carrera went well and surprised one chap on his full carbon Fandango road bike after I sat on his back wheel for a few hundred yards before going passed him and pulling away on a hill and it took him a good mile and half to catch up and ask if the bike was electric....

They’re pretty good bikes, I got one in a January sale at Halfords. If I remember correctly it was £249.00
They do surprise more conventional/expensive bikes. They’re good fun to mod too, Tiagra 10 speed and Hope floating rotors work great. You can get the Brompton style mount for the front and Brompton luggage fits perfectly. I used mine on the indoor trainer last winter lol

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the price. I did have to travel to a Halfords that was about 90 miles away to get one at that price lol
I’ve had some memorable rides on it but my favourite so far is one to Whitby from Stockton on Tees, the hills in the North Yorkshire Moors are brutal but I didn’t have to get off and push. It dealt with some gravel at Castleton and a rough trail down to Ruswarp with ease. Not having to book them on a train gives you loads of options for adventures too…

Nice scenery and that sounds like a good ride my next target is a 40+ mile ride on mine but might have to wait for a few weeks as I need to take a couple of weeks off cycling due to a PSA test.

Good luck with the psa test. My father is 76 now and 5 years ago was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. He underwent radio therapy and the other medication and dietary plans. He’s fine now and enjoys his cycling again.
I look forward to seeing more of your intercity and thank you for sharing the mudguard details, that was going to be my next addition 👍
